However, if a client is willing to provide travel expense to more distant locations, we can consider such request as they present themselves. Steve does demonstrations by appointment at his home. We currently have the following on display on a Samsung 50" DLP Dish Network ViP 622 HD DVR 12' dish with 4DTV MPEG2 FTA from big dish with Pansat DVR receiver Yamaha HTR 5860 Surround amp with Bose Speakers.

Destiny or coincidence? Steve was born on 10/03/1957 and claims he recalls watching the TV in the nursery the following day when the news of Sputnik (the first man made satellite) was on every TV channel all day long.
Good thing it wasn't cartoons.

Steve got his degree in History and Political Science at CSU Chico in 1982. Upon graduation. and while considering further education, Steve found that his cousin was in the Home Satellite Business in Rosemead, CA. Shortly after joining Home Satellite TV, Steve's cousin chased bigger dreams in distribution and wholesale of Satellite TV products and Steve and another installer (Jeff Dubel) partnered up to form "Ground Control Satellite Earth Stations" in February 1983. It was Jeff that came up with the name "Ground Control". Our first sale was made using a trailer with a 12' Paraclipse dish, Luxor receiver, MTI Positioner and a 19" Toshiba monitor powered by a Honda generator out on Topanga Canyon Road. That first customer is still with us (although he now has 4DTV). Steve became sole proprietor in 1986. In 1990, we moved from Huntington Beach to Westminster. |
